Fans and spectators can expect to watch some tough football matches for the U18 play-off and round two of the U15 boys and girls game in the lead up to the finals this week.

The U18 games will start with the Avatiu girls taking on Tupapa Maraerenga while the Puaikura FC girls will face Aitutaki.

In the men’s division Game two will see Aitutaki FA facing Mangaia FA and Tupapa Maraerenga taking on Atiu.

On Monday, Mangaia made their debut in the tournament and although the U18 Women took a hit from Tupapa with an 8 nil score, the men’s side had their component Tupapa working hard for their 2 nil score. 

The Aitutaki women took the game between Atiu with a 2 nil score, while Titikaveka took a win from Avatiu with 4-1.

The Aitutaki men had a tough game against Atiu scoring a goal during the last 15 minutes - the only goal for the match, ending the game with a 1 nil score. 

On Tuesday, at the CIFA Complex, the U18 games carried on with the first game of the day seeing the Atiu women win their game against Titikaveka with a 4-1 score.

There was a nil draw between Avatiu Girls and Aitutaki Girls.

In the match between the Mauke and Atiu U18 boys, Mauke took the game with a 1 nil score.

At Takitumu School field, Puaikura took on Mangaia taking the win with 9 nil as the final score, removing Mangaia U18 Women from the finals.

The second game at Takitumu School was with U18 Boys from Mangaia and Avatiu. Mangaia won the game with a score of 3 – 2.

Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) says the U15 games round 2 will be held at Takitumu School Field with the first match seeing the Titikaveka girls playing against Aitutaki, and Mitiaro facing Mangaia.

Titikaveka boys will face the Aitutaki lads and Mitiaro is to face Mangaia.

Meanwhile, the U15 boys and girls teams were eager to play on Tuesday at Victoria Park, seeing Titikaveka take on Mitiaro, ending the game with a 1 all score.

The following game saw the boys from Titikaveka playing against Mitiaro with a final score of 3 nil to Titikaveka.

Game three had Aitutaki Girls ending their match against Mangaia with a 2 nil score.

The last game was between Aitutaki and Mangaia boys which saw mangaia struggle and Aitutaki took the game with a 7 nil score.
