Another football week, another round of exciting games. In the mid-week fixtures this week, Avatiu FC will take on Nikao Sokattak FC at Nikao home grounds.

In The Islander senior women’s match this afternoon both sides will be wanting to grab the three points to add to their tally.

The young Nikao Sokattak have been trying their best to get their first win in the competition. Without doubt the side will be out in full force against Avatiu to get their first match points.

After a winning start against Puaikura in round one, Avatiu fell short by two goals against defending champions Tupapa Maraerenga last weekend. The side will be hoping to get back to winning ways this afternoon.

The two teams will meet in the Tower Insurance premier men’s division tomorrow where Avatiu will face a daunting task against table toppers and defending champions Nikao Sokattak.

After a winning start, Avatiu went down to Tupapa Maraerenga last week. Tomorrow the side will take on another strong team and will need to bring their best game to overcome the rampaging Nikao.

The Sokattak thumped Titikaveka 10-0 last week after beating Matavera in round one. They will enter tomorrow’s match as the favourites with the hope of extending their lead on the points table.

The senior women’s and premier men’s matches will kick off at 5pm.
