Netball Cook Islands has started their campaign for the Pacific Games and upcoming events with skills and games play trials yesterday.

The aim of these sessions is not only for team selection, it is also an opportunity to gain knowledge on how to train for the international elite level.

This morning, session two – cardio was to be held at the National Stadium with a warm up, split run and body weight strength from 6am-7am.

In the afternoon session three from 4.30pm-6pm, the focus will be on defensive extension.

Tomorrow, session four on shooting clinic will be held from 9am-10am followed by session five (game play) from 10am to 12 noon. On Monday sessions six and seven – cardio and court play – will be held. Please note that times and venues may change.

Meanwhile the Beach Netball and Basketball fundraiser scheduled for tomorrow has now been postponed until June.

Registrations are still open for only $120 per team of 10. All funds are in aid of Netball Cook Islands and Basketball Cook Islands teams travelling to the Pacific Games later this year. Register your team at netballcookislands@gmail.com.
