The first week of lawn bowls competition in the 2022 Cook Islands Games concluded on Wednesday night at the Rarotonga Bowling Club.

Gold and bronze medal play offs were held in ladies singles and fours and the men’s pairs and triples events on Wednesday.

Mitiaro (Nukuroa) came out on top in both the ladies events showing that they have become a force to reckon with on the greens.

In the men’s events, it was the island of Mangaia who rose to the top to win both gold medals in the men’s pairs and triples.

A fantastic effort by Pukapuka who may not have won gold this time, but managed to secure three bronze medals in the ladies fours, men’s pairs and men’s triples.
