Cook Islands News is a prominent Cook Islands institution and has been privately owned since 1989.
It employs approximately 20 fulltime staff and is published six days a week Monday to Saturday.
The owners of Cook Islands News are open to offers ranging from the purchase of between 50% and 100% of the shares in Cook Islands News 2008 Limited or the purchase of the assets and business as a going concern.
The assets of the business include goodwill, a printing factory, office fixtures, fittings & furniture, vehicles, copyrighted news and photo archives dating back several decades, the lease on a purpose- built building in Maraerenga, Avarua, and publishing rights to the daily newspaper including its online edition and social media platforms.
Only genuine and bona fide expressions of interest will be considered, and all parties showing interest will be expected to sign a non-disclosure / confidentiality agreement.
The purchase price will depend on the final form of sale and whether this involves the sale of shares or the sale of the assets
and business as a going concern and is subject to negotiation.
