About 60 passengers disembarked from the visiting cruise vessel in Rarotonga on Tuesday.

Cook Islands Tourism director of destination development, Brad Kirner, said that of these, 53 visitors participated in Turama Tour excursions. Ten visitors chose the storyteller tour, 20 participated in the Arimoanna, and 23 went on the Island tour.

The visitors’ previous port was Samoa, and their next port is Uturoa in French Polynesia. Turama Pacific was the official onshore agent.

Last year, around early April, the National Geographic Orion, an authentic expedition ship purpose-built for exploring the South Pacific and its surrounding regions, arrived in Rarotonga for its second call since 2015.

The next cruise ship on the schedule is the MS Volendam, which will arrive in Aitutaki on Wednesday, March 20, and will be in Rarotonga on March 21.
