Mokai said the day would be a culmination of a term’s work focused on enterprise.
“It’s an opportunity for students to experience the reality of running stalls and having to do budgets and planning, purchasing, making, marketing and selling their products. That whole process,” Mokai said.
“It’s also a fantastic opportunity for us to do some fundraising after a couple of years of very limited fundraising due to Covid.
“We’re really keen for people to come along in the morning and get their breakfast on their way to work or come in and have an early lunch.”
The money from the fundraiser will go towards the school’s Parent Teacher Association.
Mokai said there would be arts and crafts, jewellery, pot plants, kai and drinks for sale.
Apii Te Uki Ou is having its school gala today from 12.30 to 5pm and will have food and games available.
The theme for this year’s gala is “To Tatou Ipukarea – our paradise”.
Another school fundraiser will be held at Terevete Park at 7am this morning until they sell out of food. The fundraiser is for the family who lost their house in a fire earlier this month.
