A statement from the Eagles management said that: “although we did not perform to our full potential last week, we have taken valuable lessons from that experience and are focused on improvement.”

Last Friday the Sea Eagles lost to the Bulldogs 32-12.

And today they face Arorangi Bears who are fourth place with four points (two wins, two losses)

The management further stated that today’s “game against the Bears is no different.”

“We just need to trust the processes that we have established, execute the game plan that we have been practicing at training and give it our all on the field. “

"It's going to be a tough battle, and it will come down to who wants it more. Round 1 has come with its challenges. We have identified key areas that we need to work on and slowly implement the changes that we need to improve as a team.We look forward to the challenges in round 2.

"I would like to ask all our supporters and families to come out and support the teams playing."

Meanwhile in the match between Titikaveka Bulldogs and Avatiu Nikao Eels yesterday, the Bulldogs won 32-28. This was the Bulldogs fourth win, they lost one game, while this makes it the Eels second loss with two wins and a draw for Round One.

Moreover, looking at the Sea Eagles U16s, management says they are in action.

“It’s been a challenge with the U16's numbers, but we're seeing steady improvement as more players join the training sessions.

“This week has been particularly encouraging, with a significant turnout at training for the first time in a while.

This boost in participation is invaluable for our preparation. Our primary focus remains on learning and developing our players and making steady improvements each week. We encourage our junior teams to play hard but safe, respect their opponents, and most importantly, have fun.”
The Sea Eagles acknowledged their supporters for always giving them an extra boost while they are on the field.

“We encourage our supporters to come on down from 11.40am to support our Juniors right up to our Premier teeing off at 5pm.”
