Volleyball fun and prizes

The Telecom Sports Arena in Nikao will see some fun and fast volleyball action today with volleyballers gathering for the one-day social tournament.

Entry into the TSA is free for all with games spiking off at 9am.

And with team names like Dryballs Much, Aphrodisiac, Serves You Right and Here comes the Boom – plenty of laughs and action are in store for players and spectators alike.

A great variety of teams will be taking to the courts from the various government departments and the private sector.

Games are also expected to be competitive with event sponsor Super Brown putting up some great cash prizes for winning teams.

Players will also have chances to win instant cash prizes through planned novelty games.

Team managers are asked to be at the TSA at 8.30 this morning for a briefing before games start at 9 o’clock.

Food stalls will be set up at the TSA to cater for the hungry players and spectators.

So grab the kids and your wallet and get up to the TSA for a great day of volleyball fun and action.

All funds raised today will go towards the Cook Islands volleyball squad preparing for the Pacific Games in New Caledonia later this year.
