The Cook Islands under 19 rugby team yesterday beat Vanuatu 38-5 in their final pool game of the FORU Tournament in Samoa.

It was a scrappy-game played on a wet and muddy field with the Cooks emptying their bench to allow all players game-time. The Cooks lead at the halftime break by 18-0.

U19 Cook Islands: 38 Tries: Liston Tongia, Tinomana Kauae, Murphy Taramai, Ben Tautu. Con: Tave Tereapii (2), Wallace. Pen: Tave Tereapii(4).

With the Cooks topping Pool B they will now face Samoa who were Pool A winners. This match for first and second-placing will be played on Friday at 4pm (Local time 5pm).
