U14 team arrives

A New Zealand-based Cook Islands under 14 rugby league team is arriving this weekend to play a Cook Islands selection in two games next week.

The local side is being organised by Inangaro ‘Love’ Tupuna to play against the visitors.

But it’s not all about rugby league for the NZ Cook Islands team who are looking forward to reconnecting with their Cook Islands roots.

The touring team is coached by Horoe Dion Winiata and the trip has been organised by NZ Cook Islands Rugby League Association president Noora Samuela.

The visiting players are – Onosai Nanai-vai, Winiata, Randolph Feilo, Heathangrant Misini-Pulevaka, Chevez Ellis-Cunningham, Jacob Diaz, Brandon Smith, De’Niro Refiti, Kyle Blunkell, Joseph Hay, Latham Poseseione, Zion Haira-Alataua, Ethan Taylor, Izaac Thompson, Junior Lisione, No’o Burroughs-Maki, Fiatotoa Fiatotoa, Byan Repoama.
