Tupapa tear down Takuvaine

In the main Lotto premier mens round cup soccer competition played at the weekend, Tupapa tore down Takuvaine by 7 goals to nil at the Tupapa field.

Two easy goals were scored in the first half through Tupapas speedster and strikers Campbell Best and Paavo Mustonen.

The 2 goals scored were a wake-up call for Takuvaine as they tightened their defence to deny any further goals being scored against them.

However, in the second spell of the match the floodgates opened up for Tupapa as they slotted through another 5 goals.

Best added another 3 goals to his tally and Mustonen added another goal to his name while Apii Angene also appeared on the score sheet.

Tupapa dominated ball possession and controlled most of the game and had a lot of attacking play throughout the match.

The Takuvaine team made up of mainly young players displayed good skills and team spirit.

Dominance and superiority was seen in the CIPS Image & Copy Centre womens competition as Tupapa Maraerenga blew away Takuvaine by scoring five goals in the first half.

During the second half Takuvaine coaches made three substitutes to their team and as a result the defence improved greatly with only 1 goal scored against them.
