Turangi women lead the Edgewater Round Robin Cup, with five rounds left and eight teams eyeing the number one spot.
They will need to keep their current winning form going up against strong contender Muri.
Says chief executive officer of Cook Islands Cricket Alister Stevic, “Look out for Moeroa Tangimetua, Emily Monga and Tepaeru Ioane to make an impact for Turangi”.
Matavera dropped a game against Arorangi last weekend and four points with it.
Currently sitting in fifth place the young Matavera team need to be concentrated if they are to head back up the table to third place.
Their opponents Nikao are currently sitting second from the bottom, but the new women’s team are not that easy to beat.
Says Stevic, Nikao improve with each week, they have plenty of batting fire power and if they time their innings right at Matavera (including plenty of singles) they will frustrate the young Matavera bowling line-up.
A win for Nikao at Matavera would be their first of The Edgewater Round Robin Cup.
Avana have been early bolters this season collecting two wins, a rain out and a loss.
Sitting second on the table, Avana are just one win away from taking the number one spot. They played Arorangi on November 1. Takuvaine have the bye.
