LEFT: Team Cook Islands chef de mission George George (centre back) and a few members of the team with grade two students of St Joseph’s Primary School who wrote ‘good luck’ cards for each member of the team while they were in India for the Delhi Commonwealth Games.

Grade two teacher Tupa Tupa (far right) and his students were personally thanked by Team Cook Islands members who were moved by their gesture while the team were in India.

The messages and cards from the school came a day before the team began their sports competition in Delhi and was the best form of support the athletes and team could have ever received.

To top it all off – the grade two students then performed a wonderful song and dance for the team during their special visit to the school.

The performance, katikati afterwards and continuous support from St Joseph’s Primary School is gratefully appreciated by Team Cook Islands.
