Takuvaine gears up for Matavera

More football action will take place today with some interesting match-ups for fans to enjoy at the Takuvaine sports field between Takuvaine and Matavera.

The first game at the Happy Valley is set to kick off at 4.15pm in the under 14 boy’s division.

In the senior women’s championship Matavera was edged out by Takuvaine in their first outing and no doubt today they will aim to keep the host club at bay.

Takuvaine will be keen to shake things up for their side and a win tops their agenda as they get ready for today’s clash.

Much of the attention on Friday will centre on the Lotto Premiership men’s game, where a compelling-looking Matavera outfit will try to breach Takuvaine’s defence.

On the back of a four-all draw against one of the top teams Nikao Sokattak earlier this week, Matavera will no doubt look to bag this game.

The Takuvaine side is not short of talent themselves and today’s game could showcase that with veteran player Vaivase Samania and his defenders holding their defences to prevent their opposition from scoring.

Prior to the Lotto Premiership match the under 14 girls will kick off their scheduled match at 4.15pm.

Draw and referee appointment for today at the Takuvaine field – 4.15pm Under 14 Boys, Ref-Mike Mouauri assisted by Morgan Wichman & Bobby Aerenga, 5pm Senior Women, Ref-Mike Mouauri assisted by Morgan Wichman & Bobby Aerenga.
