This Wednesday will see a mini swimming competition for children that have been taking part in the four-week ANZ Tamariki Sports swimming programme.
Coach Ake Hosea-Winterflood says that for the first part of the lesson kids will practise what they’ve learned through the swim programme before a mini fun swimming competition is held.
The final swim of the programme will be held from the Nikao Social Centre beach starting at 4pm on Wednesday.
Tamariki Sports sponsor ANZ bank has prizes for those kids that have taken part in the swimming programme over the past four weeks.
Hosea now plans to run her athletics programme next month and is waiting for availability of fields to do this.
So kids – grab your goggles and togs and show coach Ake that you’ve taken on all the swimming skills she has taught you, then test your speed in the mini swim competition.
