The 2013 Sevens in Heaven champions will be crowned tonight after the third day of games in the annual tournament.

The first day of games on Thursday drew a large crowd of spectators who were treated to fantastic opening games – and more of the same brilliant action can be expected today.

The General Transport Tabusoro, Bombay Hawks, Tupapa Maraerenga Panthers, Tauae Bulls and defending champions the Teimurimotia Stallions were the impressive performers on Thursday night with these teams comfortably winning their first-up encounters.

Araura Enua drew 12-all with Avatiu and the powerhouse Mareko’s team did the damage against the ICHB Cowboys.

Teams took to the BCI Stadium again yesterday for the second day of games and today will see body-on-the-line action as teams battle for the top honour of being crowned this year’s sevens champions.

Today’s games kick off at 12.30pm for the bowl quarter finals.

Games take a break at 5.20pm today for the Telecom Kick It competition followed by the ANZ dash for cash race for men and women.

If you and your mates are dressing up for today’s games – make sure you are at the BCI Stadium before the CITC costume competition is judged at 5.40pm.

Zumba and dance instructor Nana Hirata will get you in the party mood at 5.55pm with her ‘play hard’ dance crew to amp things up.

Games get back underway at 6.05pm with the men’s shield final.

The grand final match of the tournament is scheduled to kick off at 7.30pm.

Grab your costumes, picnic basket, sun block and pom-poms and get ready for the hottest sevens action on the rock.
