Sokattak set sights on Titikaveka

The men’s soccer Lotto Premiership will feature Nikao Sokattak and Titikaveka in today’s main match at the Nikao field at 4pm.

The exciting prospect will see Nikao Sokattak supporters flock to the Nikao field this afternoon to witness their premier men who will battle it out against Titikaveka.

After taking a bye last week Nikao can now play their first match and better yet on their home soil.

Under coach Alex Napa the Sokattak side will definitely look to take the win in today’s contest.

With pivotal players operating in essential areas of the field with the likes of Steven Willis (Nikao) and Bill Tangapiri (Titikaveka) in defence to provide some great action while the contest between midfielder’s Cameron Robertson (Titikaveka) and Ano Tisam (Nikao) should see sparks fly.

Paavo Mustonen and Teariki Mateariki will play key roles as strikers for Nikao while youngsters Vaka Nootai and Peekay Edwards of Titikaveka will take every opportunity to strike the ball through to the back of the net.

In the CIPS Image & Copy Centre women’s championship Titikaveka have proven to be lethal after winning their first game last week against Matavera and today’s match will be no difference however Nikao Sokattak will look to limit Titikaveka’s chances.

At the other venue, Matavera is hosting Takuvaine with the first game starting at 1pm in the under 14 girl’s division.

Matavera’s two-all draw with Titikaveka in the premier men’s division last week will certainly change that fate with a win in today’s battle.

The under 14 girl’s division will commence today’s football action at the Nikao field and Matavera field at 1pm.
