Sokattak and Tupapa head to cup final

Nikao Sokattak and the Tupapa premier mens soccer teams have won their semi final matches at the weekend with the score line of four goals to nil and five goals to one respectively.

The two top clubs will now meet each other in the knock out soccer cup final this coming Saturday.

In the Tupapa and Takuvaine match played at the Matavera School grounds, Tupapa dominated the game in most facets of play and scored three goals in the first half through Campbell Best, Twin Tiro and Temaeva Smith.

Ten minutes into the second spell of the match Ronnie Sakai scored Takuvaines sole goal while Tupapa added another two goals through Campbell Best and Steven Hiro.

In the other premier mens semis played at Victoria Park between Nikao Sokattak and Titikaveka, Sokattak knocked over Titikaveka by four goals to nil to book their cup final spot against Tupapa.

Goals scored for Nikao Sokattak were claimed by speedster Teariki Mateariki, Jonathan Rowe and John Bartilard with two goals.

In the senior womens semis Tupapa overcame a determined Nikao Sokattak in a penalty shoot-out while Arorangi defeated Titikaveka by two goals to nil. - CIFA Media
