Shark attack in Aitutaki today

There’ll be no rest over Easter weekend for rugby league clubs with week 10 of games kicking off today and Saturday.

Today the Titikaveka Bulldogs will head to Sharks territory in Aitutaki to play the outer island club on their home soil.

The match will be played at the Vaipae Stadium with the entire population of Aitutaki is expected to converge once again on the field to cheer on their boys when the game kicks off at 5pm. Yesterday the Bulldogs under 16 and under 19 grades took on their Warriors counterparts and today the Bulldogs reserve grade will rumble with the Warriors at the Happy Valley Stadium starting at 4.45pm. On Saturday the Avatiu Eels will play hosts to neighbours the Tupapa Panthers at the Swamp while the Ngatangiia-Matavera Sea Eagles will host the Arorangi Bears at Nukupure Park in what should be two top matches. - MW
