The Ngatangiia-Matavera Sea Eagles premier league team are the current leaders on the points table heading into this Saturday’s ‘catch up’ clash against the Avatiu Eels.

Keep in mind though that the Sea Eagles are facing the Eels for the first time on Saturday and then have another catch up game to play against the Eels.

This year’s season has been marred by natural disasters, a lack of direction from the executives and just plain laziness by clubs who have not supplied their score sheets to officials.

But those passionate about the game has soldiered on have finally provided CI News with a points table for all grades.

Again there are a number of catch up games still to be played and the standings will evolve and change as we head into the business end of the competition.

The points table have been put together based on the results handed in by teams.

In the meantime – the Avatiu swamp will be the place to be on Saturday afternoon when the Ngatangiia-Matavera Sea Eagles face the Avatiu Eels for the first time.

Saturday, April 17 Eels vs Sea Eagles at the Avatiu swamp – 1pm under 16 grade, ref, A Emile assisted by Koa Kopu and Bishop Bishop, 1.45pm under 19 grade, ref, S Willis assisted by T Tuakana and T Strickland, 3pm reserve grade, ref, N Tou assisted by T Tuakana and N Takaiti, 4.30pm premier grade, ref, T Manea assisted by S Willis and Simi Teiotu.
