Cook Islands Rugby Union will hold a meeting on Monday to discuss and finalise the details for its 2012 season calendar.

Currently, the season proper is due to begin on June 16 for the 15-a-side competition with the grand final scheduled for September 22.

Two weeks of sevens competition will be held in the lead-up to the June 16 launch and a one-week break in the 15s competition is planned for the weekend around August 4.

But all clubs and any interested person is invited to have their say on the full calendar at a meeting this Monday, starting at 5pm in the CISNOC offices.

CIRU’s new president Chris McKinley said he wanted to hear the various clubs’ opinions on the competition and calendar, number of grades to be played and the size of teams in the various grades.

McKinley said clubs could send as many people as they wanted to the meeting.

“You can send one person, five people... as many as you want,” he said.
