Registrations for the popular Boxing Day touch rugby tournament which will be staged on Monday, December 26 are now open.

The tournament is always well attended and with a maximum 16 teams to be included in this years tournament teams and groups are encouraged to register now and avoid the disappointment of missing out on the fun day out.

This years tournament will once again be run at the Nikao sports field and depending on the number of teams that register games will tap off at 9am.

Teams can register for the mixed tournament either as a social team or a serious team.

Uniforms are not compulsory, however teams are encouraged to make an effort to stand out from the crowd.

Dressing in your village, family or church colours is definitely encouraged.

Registration is $100 per team with some awesome prizes up for grabs in both the social and serious categories.

Everyone is also encouraged to bring along your picnic baskets and chilly bins for sustenance during the day although there will be a couple of food stalls set up around the Nikao field to feed the masses.

This is an ideal time for family, friends, clubs, sports and social teams to enjoy a fun day out in the sun.
