Five men have now appeared in court on sedition charges and inciting communal antagonism.
In a statement, the Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald, says investigations are continuing and there is a possibility more people could be charged.
Groenewald says he will not comment on whether firearms that police intelligence teams are combing the Western Division for are linked to weapons that reportedly went missing during the 1987 and 2000 coups.
Groenewald refuted claims of missing weapons from the two coups being stored at unknown locations across the country .
A police team from the West, aided by a team of intelligence officers from Suva, have been conducting investigations in the Ra and Tavua area on information received that a group of men were training in a seditious manner and that weapons were allegedly being used.
