This week’s netball raffle will have an added bonus prize thanks to the generosity and selflessness of one of its fraternity.

Last week’s winner of the $1000 ‘bonus’ prize decided to donate the money back to Netball Cook Islands for inclusion in this week’s draw.

NCI chief executive officer Teina Taulu said the winners wished to remain anonymous, but she described them as being fervent netball supporters.

The couple knew they had won the prize on Friday and immediately offered to donate their winnings.

Taulu said NCI asked them to take the weekend to consider, but it wasn’t going to change their minds.

As a result, the prize money is now back in the draw and up for grabs this week as a bonus draw.

NCI will draw its second round of prizes this week in its seven-draw raffle.

Each week there is $21,000 up for grabs in prizes.

Entrants need to have their $100 ticket paid for in full before they can go into the draws, with the one ticket ensuring their place in each of the remaining draws.

NCI is holding a stall at the Punanaga Nui Market this Saturday for anybody wishing to buy a ticket or finish their payments.
