Kiwi runners Tony Broadhead and Lisa Robertson were the top two racers with Broadhead winning the 31km race around Rarotonga in 2.03.21 closely followed by first overall female racer Lisa Robertson with a time of 2.04.47.
First local racer home was Tereora College teacher Bryn Parry who lost the lead in the race on the homeward leg of the race to place 3rd overall and first local man home in a time 2.06.35.
4th place went to Melbourne runner Rebecca Rosel who also took out the second place in the women’s division with a time of 2.13.09.
First locale female home was Vanessa Woodger who placed 23rd overall in a time of 2.41.30 with Tereora College teacher Janice Moore taking out second local female title in 25th place overall with a great time of 2.43.41.
