Pacific Resort glad to host Te Aito Tama

Pacific Resort is sponsoring today’s singles vaka event, in which junior paddlers and novice paddlers will race across the Muri lagoon.

Pacific Resort general manager Greg Stanaway said of Te Aito Tama.

“Pacific Resort Rarotonga and Pacific Resort Aitutaki are delighted to be sponsoring this inaugural Te Aito event.

“The event and this sports discipline are positively compatible with our values. We are very interested in supporting the personal development of young people while at the same time supporting the achievers in the sport like Reuben Dearlove.

“Oe vaka is an environmentally friendly activity and is borne out of traditional Polynesian cultural foundations.

“While it is a competitive sport it is also a very positive bonding activity which is underpinned with lots of fun both on and off the water.

“We wish the organisers and competitors the very best for Friday’s and Saturday’s races.”
