Apii Te Uki Ou students will be giving their lungs a workout over the next three weeks as part of the school’s sports-a-thon programme that will run for the next three weeks.

The fresh air and exercise is sure to improve their learning capacity in the classrooms too.

Students are taking part in a range of sporting and fun activities from snorkelling and sand castle building to paddle boarding, badminton, oe vaka, tennis and mini golf to name a few.

The first day of sports and fun began on Thursday for the school’s students and CI News caught up with a happy bunch of kids and teachers at Muri lagoon enjoying paddle boarding lessons with the team at Captain Tamas. Today we share images of the students having fun in their outdoor classroom.
