Oldies back to Muri

After a two week break, the Raro Realty Golden Oldies cricketers are back.

Poor weather put a halt to any cricket last weekend but the oldies are rearing to go for Saturday.

The match will bowl off at 3pm in Muri however Golden Oldies sponsor and medium fast bowler John McElhinney encourages all the oldies to head to the ground early.

”It’s going to be a really exciting day, the under 19 wale boys are in action from 12.30pm then the women’s at 2pm followed by us old guys and gals at 3pm,“ says McElhinney.

Co-organiser More More says forced postponements over the past two weeks hasn’t dampened enthusiasm.

”It’s the opposite, everyone enjoyed themselves the first weekend, word has got out, so everyone is keener than ever. Hopefully the weather plays its part.“

If you are up for a great day of cricket then Muri is the place to be.
