Avatiu field is where all the golden oldies rugby action will be today when teams gather for the first day of the Cook Islands Rugby Mini Festival.
Two international teams from Australia and New Zealand have travelled to Rarotonga for the festival and will rub shoulders with some of our former rugby stars in the Mongoose and Sons of Takitumu golden oldies rugby team.
The overseas sides are the DB Millhillians from Carterton in the Wairarapa and the Central Coast Seagulls from New South Wales in Australia.
A number of other individual players have also come to Rarotonga to enjoy the island and play a few rounds of good natured rugby.
Games start at the Avatiu field at 3pm today and at the same time again for the second round on Monday.
Head along to the swamp and if you fit in the golden oldies category, you may well get a run.
