Stalwart touch rugby women’s team Bounty Hunters were pushed to the max by young up and coming team Nikao Youth in round three of the 2012 touch rugby season last week.
It was certainly a tough match for the Bounty Hunters who won’t be thrilled with their 3-all draw but the Nikao Youth team will no doubt use the draw as a confidence boost ahead of their next match this Wednesday.
FBI won their match against Isotonics 5-0.
In the men’s division, Rama were a force to be reckoned with when they thrashed TKV 7-2 while it was tit-for-tat in the Rebels and Nikao Youth match with the Rebels managing to edge out the gun Nikao side 4-3.
In the entertainment mixed division, the Rebels won 5-0 against the FBTonics while the Nikao Youth thrashed the Kings team 11-3.
A tough match was seen between the TKV side and the Avatiu-Nikao Mongoose team who showed age was no barrier when they defeated their younger counterparts 8-3.
Rama registered their second win of the day in the mixed division beating the OPM Office 6-2.
Touch rugby organisers would like to remind all mixed teams that you must have women in your team.
The beautiful Raro Queenies are not technically women so get out there and find some ladies to balance your mixed teams.
The next round of games, round 4, will be played out this Wednesday at the Nikao field starting at 5pm.
