The 2012 tennis season will roll out on Monday, January 16, with the start of the ANZ school holiday programme.

Tennis coach Malcolm Kajer is ready to recruit new players and continue developing the skills of children who have regularly taken part in tennis programmes through what was a big year of tennis in 2011.

Enrolments for beginner and first time tennis players are now open and these kids will take to the courts first on Monday for their hour long lessons starting at 9am.

Parents can drop their future tennis stars off at the Nikao Tennis Centre courts with lots of water and $5 which is the daily fee for the tennis lessons.

From 10 oclock in the morning to 1pm intermediate and advanced tennis players will hit the courts for their lessons.

Kajer says for players in the intermediate and advanced division fees are $10 per day with regular tournaments through the week to spice up the action.

Top Cook Islands female players Lilian Maui and Nora Browne will be assisting Kajer during the school holiday programme where they will share their skills with the youngsters.

The school holiday programme will run right up until school starts on Monday, January 30, when the ANZ in schools tennis programmes kicks off.

To register your child or interest in including your child in the school holiday tennis programme call Kajer on 75614.
