The Cook Islands under 17 men’s soccer team take on New Caledonia today (Tuesday NZ time) in the OFC under 17 tournament in New Zealand.

The tournament kicked off at the weekend at the North Harbour Stadium and will conclude with the finals on January 19 to see who will go through to the FIFA under 17 men’s World Cup in Mexico in July 2011.

The Cooks have been drawn in a tough pool and after New Caledonia they will go on to meet Tahiti, Tonga and the Solomon Islands.

The team is coached by former national representative Tuka Tisam.
