Mongoose turn out for Easter

Blackrock Apii Potiki will benefit from Easter Mondays Mongoose golden oldies charity cricket match which will be held at the Nikao field.

The charity cricket match will be between the financial members of the Mongoose golden oldies club and ex university and Grammar school students.

In fact, Mongoose manager of special events Tamuera Crocombe says any x-boys that can handle a bat and ball are more than welcome to head to the Nikao field for the 1.30pm game on Monday.

A fee of $20 is required from each player before the fun and games begin.

Mongoose players will take on an opposition team that will feature the likes of hard hitting Ed and Tua Pittman, John Whitta, Steven Moko Kavana, Saby Matapo, Kiriau Turepu, Amene Rangi, Steven Peyroux, John Henry, Mark Brown, David Dennis, QR Sir Frederick Goodwin, Harry Ivaiti, Tiki Matapo, to name a few.

And of course Crocombe says that the real fun will start at Roses Garden where the talk will be all about during in my days.
