Masters athletics at BCI Stadium

Rarotonga masters athletes will continue with their Wednesday afternoon meets today at the BCI Stadium.

There was some good early season form at the last meeting from Dr Tamarua who threw the discus out over 30 metres.

Newcomer Patrick Lynch had his first opportunity to throw the javelin and achieved a good throw of over 28 metres.

Wednesdays competition will again be an opportunity for those who want to try out any of the athletic events from the throws (shotput or javelin) to the jumps (long or triple), a sprint (60m) or a middle distance (800m).

All over 35s are welcome. Events start at 5pm and warm ups from 4.30pm.
