The round the rock relay as part of the week of running programme through the week was held this past Tuesday – however, due to the Prince of Wales athletics day event on Wednesday – it was decided that the primary school division of the round the rock relay will be held this coming Tuesday.
The rescheduled primary school relay will get underway on Tuesday at 4pm starting and ending at the Banana Court in Avarua.
Meanwhile the Nutters Cross Island run on Wednesday was won by Bryn Parry who crossed the island in 48.59 followed by second place getter Roland Neururer with a time of 52.14 and Kevin Henderson in third with a time of 56.57.
The 45 minute flat record set by Greg Gustafson still remains intact.
Jo Ryder of New Zealand was the first woman across the island in a time of 1.02.06 with fellow Kiwi Aubrey Begley coming second in 1.05.01 and local girl Vanessa Woodger took out third place in a time of 1.11.39.
