Junior rugby sets the pace

Avatiu and Tupapa field will be the venue for this Saturday’s rugby union age grade pre-season rugby competition.

The pre-season 10s tournament will run for the next two Saturday’s before the main season kicks off on June 23.

The pre-season tournament is for under 10, under 13, under 16 and under 19 grades from all six clubs on Rarotonga.

The first games will kick off at 11.30am with the U10 mixed rippa matches progressing to the Rugby 10s competition for the remaining age grade teams.

Pool A teams being Avatiu, Takuvaine and Titikaveka will play at Avatiu and pool B teams of Arorangi, Tupapa and Ngatangiia will play at Tupapa.
