Hot Dogs take a big bite

Week 3 of basketball’s main tournament launched with Yachtie Hotties breezing past a normally together Devlins to a comfortable 29-18 finish.

Next the Ekes and A-Town Galz went blow for blow but by the second half the Ekes’ tentacles were losing grip ultimately to come second against A-Town 27-14.

Game 3 brought Club Philippines Raro against Roaster Hire.

Club Philippines came with big hearts, a rocket called Buboy and a swarming D which kept them neck and neck until Roaster Hire turned up the heat and with masterly offensive execution had Club Philippines on the spit to win 46-30.

Rentraro continued their winning streak against the Philos whose main play makers had an off night.

Rentraros’ new kid on the block Jay Kalwa had an effective 3 point technique which may cause concern in the ensuing weeks – time will tell.

Hot Dogs, the other early leaders in the comp, continue to bite anything in their path and on Tuesday it was the Airport Jets getting a serious mauling 22-63.
