Hitting the 100 mark at volleyball

Scoring 100 points or more at the weekly Vonnia’s Corporate 6 on 6 volleyball league is becoming the norm just five weeks into the competition.

Last Friday the fierce CITC Smackdown crew recorded a new competition high score of 126, shooting the team back into their favored number one spot.

In terms of high points – the Smackdown crew were closely followed by Te Vara Nui with 125 points, Sparklings 115, Vonnias Vikings on 106 and slotting into third spot, BCI Be Cool like Ice scored 103 points while the Stingers 100 points was enough to maintain second place on the leaders table.

Turtles Diggz have vacated the top spot and not by choice after the team struggled to maintain their winning form when they drew with an impressive performance from Telecom.

But the Diggz are sitting pretty in fourth spot.

Unfortunately Westpac No Pacz lost by default to team French Connection after they struggled to get their players on time for the game.

Although members of their team did finally manage to turn up after more than 5 minutes after the game had already started, a complaint was lodged during the game which the committee have upheld awarding a win by default to French Connection.

However both teams managed to use up their time allocation and played for the rest of the 50 minutes.

Round six of games get underway this evening at the Telecom Sports Arena with three games played on the hour from 5pm to 8 o’clock.
