Today is national Go Green day and everyone is encouraged to wear green to commemorate the day and support Team Cook Islands athletes.
Go Green is an initiative created jointly by the National Environment Service, Ministry of Cultural Development, Tourism Cook Islands and the Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee.
As part of the Go Green campaign, Team Cook Islands has selected a number athletes to be litter champions who will promote best environmental practices from switching off to save power to recycling rubbish and reusing water bottles.
The Team Cook Islands Go Green campaign will extend to the Pacific Games in New Caledonia and to the Manea Games in Mangaia this coming October.
So get your green on today and support best environment practises and Team Cook Islands. - Matariki Wilson
