Gazza takes hat-trick maiden

Arorangi Cricket Club’s Henry Geary’s run of outstanding form has seen him achieve a very rare feat at the weekend taking a hat-trick maiden over.

A hat-trick in cricket is three wickets in three deliveries and a maiden over is no runs scored.

This is the first time in living memory this has occurred in Rarotonga and Arorangi captain Apii Mamanu hopes ‘Gazza’ keeps rewriting the history books, which will surely keep the opposition batters awake at night.

This is the second week in a row the Arorangi speedster has taken five wickets in a game and now sits comfortably at the top of the wicket takers table with 15 wickets from three games averaging just 4.87 runs for each wicket taken.
