SUVA – “This is a time of sorrow, but it will also be a time of action,” Fiji Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama has said in a speech in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Winston.

Bainimarama says the government is working overtime to repair the damage that has been caused and restore essential services to the people.

He says agencies are working hard to make streets and communities secure once again, but that will take time, so he has asked everyone for patience during “this time of crisis”.

Bainimarama says they are now in the task of recovery and rebuilding public utilities and government agencies and the private sector are working to re‑establish communications. - FijiVillage
