Entries are now open for the 2012 International Triathlon, which will be again run, swum and cycled at Rarotonga on Saturday, May 12.

The entry for international competitors and local athletes can be completed on the same form and with the same fees. Full details are available by visiting www.rarotri.info and following the steps.

Local entrants are asked to give their CITAI membership number as ‘2012’ in their forms and are asked to make sure you’re paid up for the year.

The ‘package’ price is $230. However, CITAI members get a free entry to the Boiler Swim ($15) and Tour de Raro ($15), so the total is automatically adjusted by $30 when you include your CITAI membership year.

Entries are needed before Saturday, April 7, for CITAI to ensure it can order T-shirts, meals and arrange facilities in time for the event.

In past years CITAI has endured late entries and last minute scrambles to enter the event.

It is warning that this will not be tolerated in 2012 and asks for your cooperation to please enable smooth processing and progression of event organisation.
