Eels vs Panthers game of the week

Head to the Avatiu Swamp and Nukupure Park for today’s rugby league action.

At the Swamp, the Eels will host neighbours the Tupapa Panthers in what should be the match of the week.

On home ground the Eels are tough to defeat but the Panthers will have a few tricks up their sleeves to combat the slippery Eels.

At Nukupure Park in Ngatangiia – the Sea Eagles will rumble with the Takuvaine Warriors from Happy Valley.

The Sea Eagles have been tough customers this season and the Warriors will need to have spears sharpened if they are to upset the soaring Eagles.

Games at both venues start at 1pm with the under 16 grade.

Saturday 19 Sea Eagles vs Warriors at Nukupure Park – 1pm under 16, Ref-K Kopu assisted by P Ngaroi and N Takaiti, 2pm under 19, Ref-P Rongokea assisted by R Mato and S Teiotu, 3pm reserves, Ref-N Takaiti assisted by K Kopu and R Mato, 4.30pm premiers, Ref-S Willis assisted by P Rongokea and S Teiotu.
