Diplomats eyes on Fukuoka

The Diplomats golden oldies rugby team that went to the 2010 Golden Oldies Festival in Sydney had a great wrap-up function at the residence of Tom and Shirley Wills in Vaimaanga before Christmas.

Those who travelled from the town area had to take a special Cooks Passenger Bus to comply with the “don’t drink and drive” campaign by our police traffic officers.

The team have confirmed their participation for the next festival in 2012 on Fukuoka – an island on the southern tip of Japan.

Arrangements for weekly or monthly instalments towards the package to suit your pocket can be made.

Our monthly meeting is held every second Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm at the famous Fishing Club in Tupapa.

Four new members have joined the Diplomats team who will meet again today for the cabinet meeting with caucus at the Fishing Club at 5.30pm. See you there.
