The 2011 soccer knock-out cup final is set to kick off at the CIFA complex today and promises to be a festival of football for all loyal followers of the game on Rarotonga.

In todays premier mens match the two tops clubs, Nikao Sokattak and Tupapa Maraerenga, will go head to head to decide who will take out the knock-out cup for this year.

In the Nikao Sokattak team, the return of striker John Bartilard have paid dividends as he has scored goals in their last five games.

In the midfield area Jonathon Rowe will no doubt show his strength against his opposition with the assistance of influential Tuka Tisam and the experienced Steve Cuthers.

These midfield players have to service their in form striker John Bartilard in order to punish their opposition.

For the Tupapa team the speed of Campbell Best in quick counter attack play together with the midfield duo of Roger Manuel and Paavo Mustonen will provide an intriguing uncertainty for their opponents.

All in all this premier mens knock-out final match is predicted to be an exciting one with all the ingredients of attacking and entertaining football to be displayed.

Prior to the main match the senior womens from the two clubs of Arorangi and Tupapa Maraerenga will take on each other. These two teams consist of outstanding players who can cause problems for their opponents given the opportunity.

This should also be an exciting game with only a goal separating these two teams in their last game during the round cup competition.

The first game will kick off at 12pm between Nikao Sokattak and Tupapa Maraerenga in the under 14 boys division and this will be followed by the under 14 girls category with Tupapa taking on round cup winners Avatiu.

In the under 17 mens match Matavera will battle it out with Nikao Sokattak at 1.40pm.

There will be plenty of football action at the CIFA complex so come down and support your club.
