Muri boxer Eddie Daniel will return with a bronze medal from the Pacific Games but the humble fighter says he has a lot more training to do to win the elusive gold medal.

Daniel was presented with his bronze medal on Saturday night after losing his final bout on Friday to his Nauru opponent in what was a closely fought bout.

The gold medal was my target so Ive got to go home and train hard again, commented Daniel.

In terms of fitness, the 26-year-old says he felt great in the ring but he reckons its his mental game he now needs to work on.

I need to work on the mental side of things Ive got the experience and confidence now so I just need to work on my mental game, added Daniel who has been boxing and representing the Cooks in the sport for seven years.

My fitness was good but I made a few mistakes but now I know what I need to work on.

Daniel would like to thank his coach Papa Graham, Sweet P, fellow boxers Osolai Agai and Marcus Jack as well as national boxing coach Tom Marsters and manager Taoro Brown.
