Cowboys make late cut

The Arorangi Cowboys is the latest team to be included in the Sevens in Heaven three-day tournament starting on Thursday, November 4.

The Cowboys were able to sneak into the tournament after international team the West’s Roosters made a last minute withdrawal from the tournament.

The number of teams in the tournament remains at a record 25 made up of 16 men’s and 9 women’s teams.

The tournament will open with a parade by teams at the BCI Stadium on Thursday at 1pm.

This will be followed by the charity player’s dash for cash race at 1.30pm and the first game at 3pm.

Day two will start at 3pm on Friday and a full day of games is planned for Saturday with games to start at 9.30am.

Don’t forget to get dressed up for the Sevens in Heaven tournament with a chance to win $100 every day in each of the CITC spectator’s competition – the best dressed group, best dressed team supporters group and craziest hat wearing group.

So get your glad rags and sober driver organised for what’s going to be a wild international sevens tournament.
