After the first 2 weeks of the rugby union competition, the Takuvaine Reds have registered one win and one loss and are keen to take on the Arorangi Cowboys in todays CITC main match of the week at Raemaru Park.

The Reds lost 10-27 against the Ngatangiia-Matavera Flying Dragons in their first game of the season before going on to beat the Tupapa Panthers 27-21 last week.

On the other hand the Cowboys have registered two wins so far this season including a close 28-24 win against the Avatiu Eels before grinding out a 6-3 win against an unlucky Titikaveka Bulls team.

Todays game should be good tester for both teams for the Reds this will be an opportunity to gauge their form against the 2010 champions and for the Cowboys this will be an opportunity to resurrect their campaign after a very lucky escape 6-3 win against the Bulls last week.

In the Reds pack the player to watch, who will give the team directions, is ex-sevens winger Eddie Marama Nicholas, on a comeback trail after serious leg injury.

So far this season Nicholas has scored 5 tries in 2 games.

For the Cowboys watch for busy Number 8 Ina Tapurau Jnr who has been in good form lately so watch for him to kick-start this Cowboys pack into action.
