Centre of paddling heaven!

Avarua harbour is paddling central this week as paddlers and supporters gather at the water front to soak up the sun and paddling atmosphere. It is the heart of the Vaka Eiva paddling festival where crew register and for most races – except the Muri sprints – it is the start and end point where onshore spectators get the best views of the exhilarating finish by oe vaka crews. All motorists are asked to take care on the road in front of this area to allow for smooth transition of vaka and paddlers.
